NEODYMIUM DOPED YTTRIUM ORTHOVANADATE (Nd:YVO4)

Nd:YVO4 is becoming very important solid state laser material. A larger absorption coefficient, broader absorption bandwidth and larger stimulated emission cross-section at the lasing wavelength of doped Nd:YVO4 crystals are three major advantages of Nd:YVO4 crystals over other materials in the design of diode-pumped solid state lasers.

Crystal growers have been looking for ways to grow reproducible high quality A-grown Nd:YVO4 laser crystals ever since the 70's. Crystal growth experts have known that A-grown crystals yield higher quality components than from C-grown YVO4 crystals. It was very difficult to grow high quantities consistently, not to mention large size, high quality crystals. ITI has succeeded in both areas. ITI is the only crystal manufacturer that provides A-grown Nd:YVO4. ITI’s own crystal growth experts have overcome the difficulties with a unique design of the furnace and growth procedure. The design of our furnace, which is based upon more advanced technology, has also enhanced us with a better crystal with consistent optical quality.
